Challenges

Transamerica’s Retirement Solutions division offers defined benefit pension plans and defined contribution retirement plans, including 401(k) and 403(b), 457, multiple employer plans, and rollover individual retirement accounts. This division wanted a mobile app, a retirement planning tool, for their customers to manage their 401(k), 403(b), or 457 plans more effectively using their iOS & Android mobile devices.

The Solution

For this project, we collaborated with Transamerica’s project team to design and develop “My TRSRetire” mobile app for iOS and Android devices. This app allowed customers to view their account status, transfer funds, and improve retirement outlook. We built an API interface to integrate the mobile app with Transamerica’s web systems.

The Business Results Achieved Following the Launch

Within a very short period after its launch, mobile app was downloaded by over 500,000 of Transamerica’s customers to become an instant success. The app delivered a useful functionality to Transamerica’s customers which increased customer satisfaction ratings of Transamerica’s retirement services.
