NJTC Chooses Invonto as One of the Most Innovative Tech Companies in New Jersey
While many of us continue to struggle with the effects of COVID-19, these past few weeks have been extremely challenging as we witness the rampant discrimination prevalent in our society marked by physical, psychological, and emotional violence.
Our hearts ache for the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and all those grappling with the irreversible trauma of racism in our country. Like many of you, we are hurting and in mourning for those who have lost their lives. The violence against people of color, especially from law enforcement, that has been on display is disgusting and heartbreaking. We condemn those who would seek out to hurt others.
As communities across the country mourn these tragic losses and speak out against racial injustice, we have contemplated our place in all this.
Invonto is not untouched by these realities. Invonto is a minority-owned small business in an industry notorious for underrepresentation of people of color. We value the many diverse voices who have joined the Invonto team throughout our twelve year history. Without each and every one of them, we would not be able to successfully support businesses and their technology needs. The intolerance we witness in our personal and professional lives goes against our deeply rooted values and continues to threaten us, our families, and our communities.
We realize that in order to see change we must be a more active voice in the fight against racism, inequality, and hate. Today, we put action to our commitment to justice, humanity, and equality. Invonto will be making contributions to Color of Change in order to support those on the frontlines against racial injustice and police brutality. We share this not to receive praise, but to hold ourselves and those around us involved and accountable. To bring the change, we have to be the change.
Additionally, we would like to share several resources for those who would like to stand with us.
